6 AmCham Members Among the 15 companies in Panama with the Best Reputation

In the Public Sector, the Panama Canal Authority is the most reputable company, and in the private sector, Grupo Melo ranked first in the top 14 companies in Panama with the best reputation, according to the Reputation Institute, a world leading consulting firm in the study of reputation and the development of methodologies for strategic management, founded in 1997 by academics Charles Fombrun (USA) and Cees Van Riel (NL).  Reputation Institute has a presence in over 30 countries. The Reputation Institute works in coordination with Stratego, a Panamanian company, founded in 1998, pioneered the development of strategic communication management and social responsibility in Panama.

The 6 AmCham Members on the top 15 list are:  The Panama Canal Authority(1st), Grupo Melo (2nd), Banco General (8), Grupo Rey (Empresas Tagaropulos, S.A.) (10), Johnson & Johnson (11) and Global Bank (12).
