This past Thursday, November 20th, in a very enjoyable ceremony, Dr. Juan David Morgan G. received the René de Lima Order, highest honor awarded by the Private Sector's Council for Educational Assistance (COSPAE). Jorge Arosemena, Executive Director of the City of Knowledge, was on hand to present the honoree, highlighting the most important aspects of his multifaceted career as a writer, scholar and lawyer. Among Dr. Morgan's many achievements, Jorge Arosemena emphasized his role as President of the Board of the Panama Canal Interoceanic Museum and as chairman of the Board of Trustees of the City of Knowledge. Also highlighted by Arosemena were his accomplishments as a writer who has captured some of the most important episodes in Panamanian history in his various literary works, thus adding to the cultural development of the country.
During the event, which also commemorated 30 years of COSPAE, the Reverend Father Adonai Andrés Cortés Elisha was also honored for his work in the development of the Gnobe Bugle region and its people.
